This month we had the pleasure to speak with Ronald Peterson, the longtime president of arguably the leading hospital in the world, The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
We discussed Johns Hopkins' phenomenal success – having been named the best hospital for 19 consecutive years – the current healthcare debate and healing the economic emergency in Leading a legacy of Healing.
For the past 19 consecutive years, The Johns Hopkins Hospital has earned the top spot in U.S. News & World Report's anmnual rankings of more than 4,800 American hospitals, placing first in three medical specialities and in the top 16 in 13 others for 2009. Throughout much of this historic period, which essentially declares Johns Hopkins as the preeminent healthcare institution in the world, Ronald Peterson has been at the helm.
