FedEx to reduce emissions

FedEx Corp today, November 13, has announced plans to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from its FedEx Express aircraft fleet by 20 percent.

In a copy of its Corporate Citizenship Report released today, FedEx announced plans to reduce aircraft carbon dioxide emissions and increase truck fuel efficiency by 20 percent over the next 12 years. Initiatives to reduce fuel consumption include fleet upgrades, flight planning adjustments and efficiency improvements.

Since 2005, FedEx has cut vehicle fuel efficiency by 13.7 percent.
