McCormick & Co has announced the appointment of Lawrence Kurzius to President of McCormick International, effective from September 1, 2008.
In his new role, Kurzius will be responsible for Canada, Asia and Australia, as well as the McCormick businesses in the Middle East, Europe and Africa, which will be carried over from his previous role. He will also be required to drive growth in emerging markets.
Kurzius joined the company in 2003 as President and CEO of Zatarain’s, a business acquired by McCormick.
Malcolm Swift has been promoted to succeed Kurzius as President of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He is currently Vice President of the consumer group in the same regions.
“Growing our business globally remains a strategic priority for McCormick, and these organizational changes support the accomplishment of that goal,” said President and CEO Alan Wilson.
