Custom home builder Buena Vista Custom Homes announced that they have given their millionth dollar to charity through Roger Pollock's "Profit Partner" Program.

Buena Vista Custom Homes' owner Roger Pollock developed the "Profit Partner" program to make a difference and actively contribute to society and the communities in which he builds. Since its inception the program has selected charities that benefit from the growth of Pollock's business. Each of the Profit Partners charities receives a monthly check from Buena Vista for each home sold.

During May's allocation of funds to the various charity groups the one millionth dollar was disposed to Oregon Partnership, one of the charities that has been in the program since the beginning.

"We are thrilled and honored to have been the recipient of Buena Vista Profit Partners' one-millionth donated dollar! We are indebted to Buena Vista, which has given us such incredible support. The donations we have received as a result of the Buena Vista Profit Partners have been instrumental in keeping our drug and alcohol prevention programs functioning," says Judy Cushing, president/CEO of Oregon Partnership.

"The donations we have received from BV have made possible such projects as the Methamphetamine Awareness Project, the "Tackling Meth" national tool kids, the Parents Teaching Prevention Program and the Suicide Hotline. These are programs that have gotten positive results and wouldn't have been as successful without BV's consistent support," adds Cushing.

Current Profit Partners Include:

Big Brothers Big Sisters NW

CASA of Clackamas

Cascadia Behavioral Health

Come Rest Awhile

Community Action

Community Transitional School

DePaul Treatment Center

Faith in Action

Friends of the Children

Lifespan Respite

Oregon Partnership

Police Activities League

Project Pooch

Providence Child Center Foundation

Quiet Waters Outreach

Save a Teen

Son-Rise Program – The Option Institute

St. Mary's Home for Boys

Transitional Youth

"Profit Partners" allows Buena Vista to make solid relationships with these organizations and support their progress and goals, making a huge difference in the success of these organizations. In 2006 Pollock built a home for Habitat for Humanity's Builder Blitz. More recently, he sponsored four local autism lectures. With the continual and generous support of Buena Vista, De Paul Treatment Center is able to help people like "James," who is now sober, moved back in with his family, back in school, and has a positive outlook on life. "Without Buena Vista's program, this success story wouldn't be possible," says Chris Bouneff, director of marketing and development at De Paul Treatment Center.

Roger Pollock's "Profit Partners" program has helped Transitional Youth meet their goals of feeding, providing housing, and counseling people like "Samuel," one a teen on the streets who is now clean, has a job, and working towards his GED. "We've had 5 youth Graduate with their GEDs in the last 12 months, a dozen of our house residents are presently working full or part time and we've served approximately 3500 meals at our outreach center at 6th and SE Alder since the start of the year," says Gary Gorsuch, executive director at Transitional Youth.

In 2005, Roger Pollock and Buena Vista Custom Homes were awarded the prestigious CASA Clackamas County Business of the Year award. Last year a recovery and integration center at Cascadia was named after Buena Vista Custom Homes.

"Profit Partners means so much to me. Every day I get excited about the positive things that we have been able to do through the program. It's really gratifying to hear the success stories," says Pollock.
