Weather can threaten health and safety

Extreme weather poses serious health risks, causing illnesses, injuries and death, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Seasonal Hazards-hurricanes extreme heat and wildfires- and soaring temperatures, summer storms, and drought conditions can all contribute to extreme weather. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention works to reduce these risks and protect the public's health.
