The verdict is, predictably, that it's not perfect. But the surprise, to those of us used to disappointment anyway, is that it's good. Very, very good.
And if you can forgive the phone audio quality being a little below par and the incompatibility with third-party software, the only stumbling block left is the price.
While this is obviously the point Archos are trying to emphasise, it's worth taking note of everything else it can do. First up, it works great as a portable media player.
And at 26 millimeters thick and weighing only 454 grams, its mobility isn't in question. But is that enough to warrant the &1700 price tag?
Martin Day, director of international channels for OQO, seemed confident that it does:
