London's Most Expensive Homes

The new Glebe property near Thames is expected to out-do One Hyde Park to become London's most expensive residential plot
The Chelsea Glebe is Edging out One Hyde Park in Price

If you thought Manhattan was expensive, wait until you see this neighborhood in London – the Chelsea block is now being heralded as the world’s most expensive neighborhood, and it’s all because of one pricey flat that has screwed with the median price range.

The Glebe. It might not be a name you’ll recognize quite yet, but after these developers finish with what they’ve started, you can bet “One Hyde Park” will only be a distant memory (One Hyde Park is the current record holder in London for being the most expensive lot). It might sound like something in a movie or television show, but The Glebe is actually a pretty resilient company, and is planning on taking its brand to new heights upon this Chelsea project completion.

Delivering residents with some of the swankiest penthouses in the city, Glebe will turn the sleepy Chelsea neighborhood into a luxurious resort fit for Prince William and Kate. Residents who have the capital to afford such luxurious amenities will benefit, as spaces at the Chelsea Glebe will likely be the most lavish in town. Apart from personal swimming pools, game rooms and private elevator lifts, which is available to any owner at the new Glebe, the penthouse will feature a rooftop terrace priced at a glorious £35million.

The one acre plot itself was pricey, recently selling to the luxury real estate company for £85million and is expected to sit across from the Thames near King’s Road. And because London’s premiere real estate is so high these days, chances are no matter the amenities, outfitting or random additions that Glebe puts together, these suites are going to sell like hotcakes.
