The Geneva Motor Show is nearly upon us, and at Exec Digital we can’t wait. Every day reveals a new luxury car treat to look forward to. Today’s Geneva Motor Show excitement comes from Maserati, who will unveil the new Maserati GranCabrio Sport at the event next week.
This drop-top take on the Maserati GranTurismo will feature the classic Maserati 4.7-liter V8 engine, along with a ZF six-speed automatic transmission utilizing Maserati MC Auto Shift software based on the software used in the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S for an all-around smoother driving experience.

Not only will the new Maserati GranTurismo convertible reach top speeds of 177 mph with 450 horsepower (that’s 17 more horses than the basic Maserati GranTurismo), but it will do it with 6% improved fuel efficiency thanks to the Maserati Friction Reduction Program. A cool 12 MPG city and 20 MPG highway means a lot less stopping in this Maserati.
Maserati wll also debut a new color on the Maserati GranTurismo convertible at the Geneva Motor Show – “rosso trionfale,” or triumphant red, is said to be inspired by Italian national colors that decorated Maserati racing cars in the 1950s. All in all, the Maserati GranCabrio is a stunning new model, from a fierce grille to a sleek and aerodynamic silhouette.

Although Maserati will debut the Maserati GranTurismo convertible at the Geneva Motor Show this March, the GranCabrio won’t actually hit the market until later this summer along with the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale.
