Reputation is everything, it is what separates the Louis Vuitton’s from the ‘Lewis Vuitton’ knock offs.
A study by the Reputation Institute referred to as the Global RepTrak™ 100 researched how stakeholders perceived global companies, and how these perceptions influenced their purchasing behavior. More than 100,000 consumers were polled in the study, and it was determined that in today’s market customers care more about ‘what you stand for as a company’ than ‘what products you sell.’
The rankings reflect this sentiment as many of the top ranking companies are those who are known for producing high-quality, ideally executed products in whatever product they endeavor to sell.

Nicolas Georges Trad, Executive Partner at Reputation Institute had this to say about reputation, “Your reputation is an emotional connection which is built over time. It’s tied to your history and past actions. Exporting that emotion is proving to be very difficult. But, it’s a recipe for success when competing globally,” he says. “Today, companies lose as much as 40 percent of recommendations outside their home markets. This has to change if they want to capture market shares globally. To improve sales, companies must invest in reputation.”
