Bonobos was never a tough sell for us; here at Exec Digital, we love the best of everything, and online retailer Bonobos made great fitting pants look easy. The only problem was that it was all online – sure, they fit well once we made the plunge and purchased a pair, got them hemmed and tucked in all the right places, but our heart always skips a beat when purchasing online. Now, the online retailer Bonobos is expanding the brand – but this time, offline.

Bonobos, Inc. will begin to sell their perfectly-fitted slacks at select Nordstrom retailers and online at Nordstrom.com. While this definitely increases the exposure this internet retailer has, Bonobos doesn’t planning on modifying its platform.

A major milestone for online retailers in general, Bonobos is the first exclusively online retailer to move to an offline retailer. This move will also close the $16.4 million minority investment from the Nordstrom team, and other venture capital partners.

“We understand there are people who still want to touch and feel clothing before they purchase. We realized we needed help expanding beyond our web-only roots. Nordstrom is the leader in retail customer service and they are incredibly innovative. We admire their leadership team and feel lucky to be in business with them,” said Andy Dunn, Bonobos CEO and founder.

In April, selection Nordstrom retailers will begin selling the popular Bonobos lines Washed Chinos in seasonal spring colors and Bonobos Weekday Warriors, a non-iron cotton trouser. Bonobos will update their lines to correspond to the seasons wear, and will strengthen its brand awareness through continued marketing and social media support from the original Bonobos guys.
