There are some luxury accessories that just seem impractical – and then there are others that are just plain genius. The Luvaglio laptop falls into the latter category, years after its arrival. In 2007 when the London based brand delivered the news that it had created the first ever million dollar laptop, people were intrigued. Now, years later, Luvaglio has continued to serve the extravagantly wealthy with expert design and unrivaled customer service.
The traditional Luvaglio laptop hasn’t changed much since it’s arrival – though we wouldn’t really be able to tell you the difference; only owners and the true elite are offered the opportunity to view content on the Luvaglio website – content protected, though, we’re not any old straggler. We’ve picked up a press release from 2007 that reveals the first million dollar laptop from the London brand, and in it is described some well-known secrets of today’s infamous designer chic, extremely elite, laptop.
The original Luvaglio has a 17” LED widescreen with anti-reflective glare, 128GB disk space and Blue-Ray drive. But those details don’t get you to a million dollars. It’s the little things – like the diamond that doubles as a power button and security ID – that really makes it stand out.
According to CEO Rohan Sinclair Luvaglio, the diamond details were thought out – and weren’t just placed there for a million dollar price tag. “We've put thought in from the keyboard down to the power charger. There is an integrated screen cleaning device and a very rare coloured diamond piece of jewellery that doubles up as the power button when placed into the laptop and also acts as security identification. We have used diamonds elsewhere but have given them purpose,” Luvaglio told Gizmag.
